Hostal Mar Y Huerta - Es Canar (Ibiza)

The shower cubicle in room 121 needs fixing!!! Expect overpriced shops in the area, and keep in mind that the thin walls might compromise your comfort when others are up at odd hours!!! A bit more attention to bathroom space could enhance the experience!!!

Stayed there for the location (proximity to the beaches) and as the Hostal was very good value for money. The double room was also very spacious and clean and very nicely presented for a Hostal.

The Hostal and Es Cana in general, with it's hotels offering Bingo nights, British food, souvenir shops, and loads of Brits 50yrs+ felt very touristic and a little more like a British seaside resort than a Spanish Ibizan playa! Depending on what you're looking for this could be either a good or bad thing!! The room price with half-board was very reasonable and as it was cheap we weren't expecting gourmet food & can't complain too much. However Gordon Ramsay would have had words with the Chef for certain! You can offer simple, basic, nutritious food - roast chicken, pork, vegetables etc but don't overcook meat so it's dry and chewy (or undercook potatoes!) and use fresh vegetables instead of tasteless, tinned veges in brine! Thankfully you can't overcook salad, so the delicious greek/potato salads were the saving grace!

Barman a little bit moody. Also very mean with measures.

The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, with friendly staff and clean facilities. The location is perfect, just across from the beach.

Loved this little spot right by the beach! Staff were dead friendly and the pool was a gem for chillin' out. Only downside was the breakfast could use a bit more variety, but overall, a lovely stay. Defo would return for the vibe!

Hotel staff very helpfull, always smily. I felt with them very well. They work hard and productive. Great location, close to shops, bars, restaurants and beach. Very nice food.

Room at night was too hot, could not sleep (no air conditioning only fun). Cleaness of the room wasn't so good, only one cleaner so I do not blaim her but owner. No tv in room ,no coffe&tea maker,no phone.

Impeccably cleaned and consistently excellent service with a cute atmosphere.

Great location. Beach, buses and taxi are at the door. Really nice reception staff (special mention to Ivana, she was great). Lovely sea view from my room. The room was bright, clean and comfy.

I would add some fresh fruits for breakfast.

Great location, bus stops in front of the hotel. We had the see view rooms which I can highly recommend because there is no airco in the room. Very friendly staff. Beach in front of hotel is good but Cala nova which a 10 min walk is better. (Was recommended by staff). Rooms weren't noisy

Breakfast was very very simple. Only ham and cheese with poor coffee.

Clean room, lovely breakfast, with a great location just across from the beach, made exploring the area easy.

Everything was first-rate.

Convenienty close to family and friends who live in the resort

As a regular solo visitor it is galling having to pay the rate for a double room.

The staff was amazingly kind and pleasant, we got their full attention. We spent 3 nights in spotless room with a couple's bed. Got savoury and tasty breakfasts with sausage, an excellent hot, alternate bacon...
